FEV-1 less than 40% predicted, or FEV-1/FVC less than 40%, or more than one attack per week with respiratory failure, or requires daily systemic high-dose corticosteroids or immunosuppressive meds 100
FEV-1 of 40-55% predicted, or FEV-1/FVC 40-55%, or at least monthly physician visits for exacerbations, or intermittent (≥3/year) systemic corticosteroids 60
FEV-1 of 56-70% predicted, or FEV-1/FVC 56-70%, or daily inhalational/oral bronchodilators or inhalational anti-inflammatory meds 30
FEV-1 of 71-80% predicted, or FEV-1/FVC 71-80%, or intermittent inhalational/oral bronchodilators 10

Note: In absence of clinical findings at examination, a verified history of asthmatic attacks must be of record.
